00:00
AI warfare right now is pretty exciting. Is a lot going on and some of it is kind of petty. So we might soon you see what happened recently with.
00:20
Chinese company deep seek in Hangzhou, actually rise to live for 5 years. that released deep seek R1 and it has disrupted. The whole industry, one of the things that has happened is there are many claims that it outperforms the top AI models that are available to the public right now, like ChatGPT things like that, and I’ve had the opportunity use, uh, several of them.
01:04
so GPT 40 GPT mini GPT 4. As well as sanit. and and lamb Lam Lamar that it’s always that blesses Lambert’s llama.
01:16
I actually said lamb before, but it’s llama l Lem from meadowner and a few others, and I do have to say for my own experience, it actually has been a much better experience except for a couple times and I was surprised because I was wondering what was going on, I was kinda confused. But then I realised that it was because there was a cyberattack against deep seek and. so a couple times when I attempted to use it.
01:51
It said that that the servers were unavailable. Now, that was only organic life from what I noticed, I don’t recall it happening with my Android, but I noticed it happening. On my iPhone, so something about the cyberattack only affected iPhone years.
02:14
I’m not sure I could be wrong about that, but I didn’t notice any disruption in service with deep seek from my Android. Now if you’re wondering why I would have both an Android and an iPhone while I do, and it’s because I had never had an iPhone before and there was a deal. That I found and I went after because I wanted to have the experience and now I have both of them.
02:41
And so I use both an iPhone and an Android and I was gonna get a second device anyway, and I should send them me to get a second white white, get another Android. But I’m already familiar with that, let’s just see what all the hype is. With the iPhone so that’s why I have another one I was able to get it really inexpensively only paid like $65 a month for the service.
03:02
and. so and I use I use 2 devices because I’m mobile all the time, I’m on the road and it helps me. To be able to podcast And monitor and have a handheld device to be able to look up and read information and do differents from my purposes for how I’m poke cancing and operating so., that’s one of the things, but moving on, so there so not only do we have deep seek coming out and then there.
03:34
Was a cyberattack? And. after the you know, so there’s a cyberattack it disrupted the industry, so the first things are, there’s one Is that from my experience and from what other people are saying that the ability to the deep seek, our model is outperforming some of the ones that are here in the United States.
03:58
So there are are several things. let me start again. One is that from my experience and from what people several other Reviews and things that I’ve seen people are saying that deep seek is outperforming the other AI, uh, chat, Barton, things like that in the US.
04:22
And like I was seeing from my experience, that’s what I’ve i’ve noticed, or at least for me, it’s faster, it shows you what it’s thinking, and the text that it generates moves so quickly. It moves more quickly than you can read it, which is not something that I’ve seen with the text generation from any of the other AI models, not from llama, not from sonnet, and not from. g.
04:50
P. T, so we spend talking with, I don’t know if that’s good or bad. That is generating information so quickly you might ask well.
04:57
From what I’ve also found is that I get more detailed information and information Rap for me, at least as dexterousl is more original. And I tend to like it better. I’ve posted a bunch of stuff on my website in equilibrium.com, using deep seek that’s labelled as being generated by deep seek, just because certain things that I’m working through in some research that I’m doing I just published that It was generated by deep seek and.
05:27
and so there are things that I like about it. One of the things that I’ve noticed about at least Lama and GPT I haven’t, I’m not, I think I might have noticed it a little bit with sonnet, but I don’t know if they’re being trained on the same data sets because they say. There’s a lot of phraseology and things that we might soon they say that are the same.
05:51
Now I’ve been working with AI and AI prompt Engineers AI authors, at least since 2016, when I started getting writing proposals for people to write free articles from my website specifically. There’s a lot of Em on my website, exercising your mind outcome, and so I got really We used you seeing what the text looked like, and then I started generating eBooks using AGP t service through a something called ward genie, which is which is a service by a designer and so-and-so I’ve gotten pretty used to identifying what looks like you know what the AI rights like.
06:37
It’s very interesting to see how, when I read things now, I see so much of it online, I just know that it’s AI. Now one of the reasons why I’ve also just been cool with it being on my website, exercising your mind outcom, is because it’s actually decent stuff. They’re like pretty cool life hacks the authors, however, that prompting and information that’s coming.
06:57
They’re not very long, you know there are few paragraphs, and they link out To other supporting information, so it’s not like it’s just that they’re sending me garbage. And I read everything from beginning to end that comes to me. And I check all of the links before I posted on the site, so at least by the time that I post it all the links are working, and they are integrated and match up with their congruent.
07:23
With the information That it’s linking to and it’s relevant to what’s in any articles, okay, so that was me going off all a bit of a tangent saying that I tend to like the experience that I have with deep seek, I don’t wouldn’t say more just different to maybe because it’s uttero me because I just started using it on Uh, like a couple, like less than a week. 10 days ago, because I think it was released on January 20th. And I already wrote, I started using it right then, and then also released an RA piece a couple of articles about the TikTok dams, so right around the TikTok ban happened is right win deep seat was released, and so I wrote a couple of articles where I thought, wow, this is pretty interesting.
08:16
And so this now can go back into segway about some interesting thing. In a controversy and just a wild storm. that Chinese companies, Chinese tech tech companies are stirring up and centring around with deep sea, right?
08:30
So circling back, you know, it’s, it seems coincidental that people deep seat was released right? When TikTok was first banned right when they went offline on that Saturday or Sunday whenever it was, there was a Sunday right? Erm, and I’m not sure the deeps right now But deep seek was.
08:53
was released on the 20th of January, I believe, and I was using it right then, and then.onthe21stiknowthatididanupedonhakeym.com from my hk EYM news about how just I sort of seen. Some connections, like what if this has to do with this, you know the TikTok band might have to do with Um, the fact that deep seat got released right and why did I make that connection? Well, now I’m certain to see a lot more.
09:25
happening. That is somewhat, I think supportive of it, but it’s just interesting, it’s just intriguing, right? So here are some of the things like you have Sam opman making a claim.
09:36
You know, he’s the guy who runs add. open AI, which is the creators of shout GPT right? Making claims that he has evidence that deep seat used.
09:50
You know, ChatGPT and open AI’s technology to copy in and to train their bots on and so in sofa, although to me, it seems unlikely in a lot of ways, only because it’s the information in the way that words thing is so completely different from the other 3 models that I mentioned earlier, sonnet and Lama and GPT ages it’s completely different. For information data generates on how it generates it. So I’m not saying I don’t know so well, actually, what I am saying is that I don’t know I’m not saying that I do know, so I don’t know about his claim, Sam Altman’s claimed, but it doesn’t seem likely to me, that’s my opinion.
10:36
It does not seem likely, and I’m You know, someone of an expert nowadays in AI, and at least reading AI texts, because I’ve been using it for so long have been interacting with so long. And I’ve natwe’ve been interacting with it so long. A lot of us have been interacting with it so long like I said 2016 people have been writing on my site, but not a lot of people are aware that they’re interacting with AI generated text.
11:00
I have been for a while and I know. What it’s doing, and I’ve worked with it, and I’ve generated dozens of texts with it. And so I understand it.
11:10
And also besides that fact, I’ve been writing on my own on website since 2006, I’ve been publishing in writing and do my own research and writing my own blogs of my own material since 2006. So I have my own writing to base off of and then? After all those years, 10 years later, then AI comes into my life.
11:34
As far as all of these are chatbots and generative AI. So you know, I can tell the difference between AI authors, and of course real authors and plus I’ve been around someone, it’s over the loud bothers but back to the intrigue surrounding deep seek. Right.
11:53
So there’s one of the things so I wrote this piece about, you know how the TikTok band first of all, I saw some online ADS for these cameras that I thought was interesting, because D, J, I, which was very prevalent. I saw DJ, I shot they make drones, I saw dozens of those shops all over China fashion because I wish actually I would have bought some dji drones when I was there, because compared to the price that they are in the United States, there would have been so much less expensive there. But I guess it just wasn’t my time to have.
12:28
You know, drums? But their Chinese company and the United States ban the use of d ji drones specifically in a lot of military and government applications because of some of the same reasons they claim with TikTok with the spying and all of that stuff like that. Now.
12:50
wrote the piece because I saw these ADS through these cameras. And these cameras Were made by DJ? I my question was, well, if you’re banning TikTok because of national security concerns, and and you’ve already banned the dji drones from, you know being used in government facilities and so forth, why would you then allow another hand held camera that a 360° moving?
13:18
Canberra, that has potential to immediately connect online and Basically collect information that maybe not from the sky like drones, but is also made by the same company. And I just start. Well, you know, that’s a little bit incongruent with the message again, I don’t know, it’s just, it’s like our bed, right.
13:35
It’s just my opinion editorial. I just wanted to is this something that I see, and I think a lot of these associations from things that I experience and you know I might have a unique perspective that other people don’t because of how I travel and move around and the things that I look at so then the other thing was about. Um, that I thought, now the TikTok man and all the controversy around it could be because of deep seat.
14:01
So that was the thing that I published on the 21st of January, right? So now. and fast forward to today, I’m seeing all this information today, the 28th I think as’s Ashes sent it to 130 and 1:38 in the morning right now.
14:16
I think it might be the 28th or 29th of January, I don’t know what my days. I’ll just roll over to it, but I think it’s the 29th now technically, I think yeah, I think it’s Thursday the 29th from this, I don’t know, but it’s somewhere around if the 20th or 29th I know, it’s probably Thursday cause I think I took my car to the dealership to get service on Wednesday. I think it was 28.
14:38
However, that’s not so important. We’ll see when I publish this and all day, I’ll get to look at all that I’m driving right now. But so.
14:48
the the other thing now, so is all of this controversy, so you know to today now, some of my friend my implications, the things I was looking at, you know, there’s we can call it. It’s like an AI. War right now, attack war.
15:05
Because you’ve got Sam option from open AI claiming that he has evidence and I haven’t looked at any articles you are just seeing a bunch of headlines that are all over my feed. you know, because that’s just based on step that I’m interested in. So show me all this AI news.
15:21
And you know, you’ve got Sam mortman, claiming that you know, all deep seek was trained on open ais technology, and then there was a cyberattack that I experienced it, because I’ve been used in the technology every day, and I was able to access it through my iPhone and so. We there’s all this stuff going on, and now there’s all these other articles, and I just saw one about how deep seeks logo logo is um. You know.
15:49
showing us a new era in in AI branding, and it’s such a huge thing right now, or the other thing that happened was that was there was the biggest loss in the stock market in the United States history because of deep sea, specifically with all of these AI tech companies, so there’s so much going on right now, and if you’re not Into this now, I don’t know, I’m geing out about it, because it’s so exciting. There’s really, there’s like a cyber, a fall on cyber war going on right now, tech war. I’m happening right now, with cyberattacks and accusations of you know, of corporate or tech, you know, the espionage and and the and so we got cybertax and tech espionage and Umm and all of these implications connections with DJ, I and TikTok, potentially and deep seek and the stock market.
16:50
So these are all just huge things right now that are going on. And it’s interesting to be in the middle of it being somebody who’s using this technology and is also a person who likes to read and write and play with things like this. So.
17:07
I’m interested to see what’s going to happen next, this is you know, somewhere fascinating. And I’ll continuing to a human bedridden to just come back with more of the stuff as it goes along, because you know right now one thing that I’ve been experimenting with the past couple days is using the audio recorder on my Samsung. And then just taking the transcripts that it generates with its AI don’t know what AI it’s using there and then also using the summaries.
17:40
And then so now this audio will be put into one of my podcast and uploaded, so you’ll have the audio that I’ll put. That on one of my websites, when try began to go on your equilibrium.com again and the inequilibrium podcast and then again like I said so I will also take the full Transcript, I’m not going to edit, and I’m gonna take the summary and I’m not going to edit that either. And I’m just going to copy and paste and put those into the blog and bed the player there.
18:06
And so it’s going to be in various different places. And so you’ll be able to hear me speaking this, if that’s like you’re driving like me right now that’s the convenient thing about audio and you can also examine the tax. And it’s very interesting to see how the AI summarises the text of my ideas are, actually, I’m liking it so far, so I’m going to have to look more deeply into exactly what AI is being used by Samsung technologies and and you also what’s being used by Samsung to make Transcript as well as the um, the summaries.
18:43
because they’re interesting and they also, it’s interesting that the summary is by looking at. It also provides a lot of insight. I really like the way how it segments everything into sections.
18:52
It gives each section, a title it like blocks it off by time and then gives each section. A little title of its own. So it actually makes it really convenience, a great writing tool.
19:03
And a way to get the ideas out there and put it in a couple of different formats, and I’m really digging it, you know that I’m able to take this put into a blog post and have it as a podcast, and it’s just instantly giving me the show notes plus The podcast and I’m using on speaker also generates its own Transcript after this is uploaded there. So I haven’t even looked into that yet. There’s all kind of opportunity opportunities for using this technology, so that’s it, uh, this are a quick recap.
19:36
Some of the interesting things that are going on surrounding deep seek. First, I’ll start with my friend Viewpoint I think that there’s a connection with TikTok and that’s one of the real reasons why even though the band has been talked about before. But of course, you know., in intelligence communities, they probably knew about deep seat long before and that it was going to be dropped in.
19:57
It’s just a coincidence. That it was dropped to it seems like it’s an interesting coincidence that it was dropped right when the ban happened, or when TikTok decided to go dark. As the CEO Sans were TikTok went dark, right around the same time as deep seek was dropped and then I was seeing this.
20:17
Connection with dji, the drones and the handheld cameras that they have right, and then now you have stamp up and cleaning that deep seat basically, you know, used his propriety, their propriety, for prietary information. Between their AI models, it also had a big, a huge impact in financial losses in people selling out a lot of stock in AI and tech companies. And that’s the biggest one in American history and there were cyberattacks against the deep sea.
20:47
So. it’s you know, it’s some hater aid going on here, there’s some controversy there’s some pettiness it’s really a very interesting thing that’s going on in a tech world right now. I’m Hakim, are we book as Alexander?
21:00
And uh, this is again, very intriguing. what’s going on with the artificial intelligence and tech communities right now.
